VANDALISM
The Verde Ditch experienced vandalism when someone cut the lock to access the pump at the confluence of Clear Creek and the Verde River and ran the pump that provides additional water to the Verde Ditch. The pump shaft has been broken, or twisted, and no longer provides water to the Verde Ditch. The estimate to replace the pump is at least $40,000.00. There is a pump that has been loaned to the ditch and is serving in a TEMPORARY capacity.
